Grey Sky And Blue Hearts
was created in Apophysis 7x.15.

This is an example of the gnarl style.

Please view in full size. Thanks! :)

I've also made another version of this fractal, with a different background and colouring, which you may see here [link] .

Hey... can I make a suggestion? Next time something like this comes up, move the original fractal to scraps rather than just over-writing it. That way you have the original to refer to. Does that make sense?

How do I do that without making the new version a new deviation? This version isn't different enough that I would have wanted to send it out to everybody again. I just removed the frame and dampened the contrast a bit. Do you mean that you would have liked to see the old version alongside the new version in order to compare them? That makes sense. What I might do next time is put one of them onto Sta.sh for you to see. I can always look at the old version myself, of course. I still have it on my computer. If anybody misses it, I can send it to them! :D

How was your day, my friend?

What I would do is to upload the old version to scraps with the same name but with maybe a "2" behind it or something and a description of how it's different than the one in your featured gallery. That way a person (me mainly I guess) could open them in two different tabs and compare that way.

Believe it or not, I have no idea what "Sta.sh" is. :slow:

My day was all right. It's still hot here and it was very humid today. Reminded me of a summer day in Iowa. We've been getting a little rain which is a wonderful thing for use as the dust was getting about a half inch deep due to no rain. Maybe we'll get some more tomorrow. I sure hope so! According to the radar on Wunderground, all the rain out there right now is north of us and not likely to head our way.

I signed a contract with the people in Arkansas... to work remote from home... today. :D

How was your day, my dear?

Congratulations on your job!!! It's great that you won't have to move.
I hope you'll get some rain. Just hearing about all that dust makes me feel parched!
I haven't yet used Sta.sh. I think it's just another way to upload deviations to dA. You can upload many at once, instead of one at a time, I believe (should you want to). Another nice thing is that it seems to be possible to "half-upload" things, leaving them in a sort of purgatory where only people you give the link to can see them. It makes it a useful tool for sharing ideas about unfinished work, for example. As I say, I haven't used it yet. I may not know exactly what I'm talking about!
I had a migraine yesterday. Today, it's gone. I'm hoping for a productive day of doing silly stuff like paying bills! :D

Oh, I feel for you on those migraines! That's one nice thing about menopause for me... no more migraines. I spent way too much of my life laying in a darkened room and praying no one would walk across the floor or move what I was laying on, and praying for sleep because sometimes sleep would help. Argh!!! You poor thing!!

That's interesting about Sta.sh. Like I said, I have no earthly idea about it so if you ever use it you can tell me. :D See, I can be very lazy.

Thanks for the congrats. Not sure if I feel so hot about it... but it is good that I won't have to move. They just don't want to pay me enough to make it really worth my while. So... I'll work for these guys for a while but keep looking.

We finally got some rain... slow and steady since last night so it at least the dust was settled.

Guess what I found out behind the house today? Cows! And a bull! The neighbor's cattle got into our pasture. The dogs were going off and I couldn't figure out why there were, so I opened the door and was telling Manny what a bad boy he was... and I looked up to see four cows and a bull looking at me. (Cattle are very curious.) What a surprise!

Anj
